You may be entitled to a refund on your West Midlands Train Eco Permit. Special rules apply
Eco Permits are available for vehicles which meet the following criteria. Please note that this discount only applies for Monthly (or greater) purchases;
Vehicles with low CO2 emissions
From June 2021 West Midlands Trains do not offer a discount for low-emission vehicles.
Electric vehicles
Vehicles registered with the DVLA as having an electric fuel type qualify for a 25% discount for up two years from June 2021. The fuel type is indicated on the V5C document. Please note this discount is based on your vehicle emission status and not fuel type.
- In order to purchase an Eco Permit, please first send/email your V5 document to our Customer Support Team. This must be done each time you purchase an Eco Permit. Payment can then be made by calling our Customer Support Team on 0330 123 5247 – Purchases must be made at least 7 days in advance.
- Only one vehicle registration can be on the permit.
- Please note: Auto-Renew cannot be used for Eco Permits. If this option is selected, the full cost of the permit will be deducted without the discount.
- Eco Permit refunds are processed taking into account the time which has already been used (At full cost). As Eco Permits are discounted when compared to the tariffs of the relevant car park, the anticipated refund amount may be lower than expected when the full cost of the parking is deducted from the discounted Eco Permit.
